Indiana workers need YOU to show up on 1/20/10 to support Sen. Delph’s illegal immigration bill (SB 213). With your help, this bill has an excellent chance of passing. It requires “all state agencies and local governments to use the E-Verify System to check work eligibility status of all newly hired employees and prohibit them from entering into or renewing a public contract unless the contractor and subcontractors verify they do not employ illegal immigrants.” Read all the details here: http://www.in.gov/portal/news_events/49668.htm

The first hurdle is to get the bill passed by the state senate. The illegal alien supporters will be there in force, so we need to be there, too. The hearing is scheduled for
Wed. Jan. 20th
at 9 a.m. (Eastern Time)
in the Statehouse,
200 W. Washington St.,
Indianapolis, IN.

Arrive before 9 a.m.
Sign up to testify in favor of Senate Bill 213.
Prepare a 1-2 minute statement as to why you support passage of this bill.
If there are too many people to testify, you may turn in your written statement for the record.

In addition, please call your Indiana State Senator at 1-800-382-9467 to ask them to vote for SB 213.
Please email or post this information on other sites to rally all Hoosiers.

The first step to passing Sen. Delph's bill is to get it passed by the Senate Pension and Labor Committee. Greg sent an email (see below) with the email addresses you need for the committee members.

If you want to call them to urge passage of SB 213, call 1-800-382-9467.

This E-mail will list the Pension and Labor Committee members and how they voted last year on Senator Delphs illegal immigration bill SB 580.

The new jobs bill ( Illegal aliens matters ) by Senator Delph is SB 213 and can be read at http://www.in.gov/legislative/bills/201 ... 213.1.html

The bill will get a hearing January 20th at 9am in room 233 at 200 W Washington st Indianapolis and we need your support.

I hope as many of you can attend as possible as the illegal alien side usually brings 20 to 30 people. This will be Senator Delphs third try at passing his ( jobs ) illegal immigration matters bill and we want this bill to become law in Indiana. I would like to see 100 or more supporters show up for the Pensions and Labor committee hearing to show our concern over illegal aliens in our work force!! You can add comment to the testimony if you wish. The Committee chair gives us one or two minuets to speak on the issue.

If you can't show up in person E-mail these state Senators ( Below ) and ask them to vote for SB 213.

Waltz S36@in.gov Yes on SB 580

Tallian S4@in.gov NO

Arnold S8@in.gov Yes

Stutzman S13@in.gov Yes Running for Senator Bayh's seat as a Republican

Kruse S14@in.gov Yes Mr Kruse inserted an amendment to water Delph's bill requiring 1500 hours of employment to be considered a full time and eligible for the E-verify program.

Buck S21@in.gov Yes

M.Young S35@in.gov Yes

Skinner S38@in.gov Yes

Walker S41@in.gov Yes

Deig S49@in.gov Yes

This is a new year and we must not take for granted the same Senators will vote for this bill like they did last year.

Your support is needed!

Greg Serbon
State Director
Indiana Federation for Immigration
Reform and Enforcement

P.S If you plan on attending and live in the Evansville area and would like to share the ride and split the cost contact me and I will forward your contact info to the other party.
