The Minutemen are here! IFIRE is the official Indiana Chapter for the Minutemen! When you join IFIRE you also become a Minuteman! Indiana is the 22nd state to open a chapter. Go to www.ifire.org and click on the Minuteman banner to volunteer to watch our northern or southern border in October. Please be sure to set aside October 15 to attend our Summit in Chicago and meet Minuteman co-founder, Chris Simcox, in person! Register now to reserve your seat at the summit www.chicagominutemanproject.com. Minuteman co-founder, Jim Gilchrist is considering running for Congress in a special election to replace Rep. Chris Cox (R-CA). Support Jim at jimgilchrist.com and listen to his interview at www.theamericanview.com/?id=247.

Prepare for battle! President Bush is backing the Americans for Border & Economic Security coalition. (Search archives). It costs $50,000 to $250,000 to join. (Whenever it costs that much to join a club, you know Joe Q. Citizen is not welcome!) The coalition seeks members from corporations and illegal alien advocacy groups with a direct interest in increasing illegal immigration. Using their money, ABES will launch an unprecedented propaganda campaign to smear our grassroots organizations and leaders. (Listen to details at http://minutemanparty.com near bottom of home page) They intend to “marginalize” the “extreme voices” of over 80% of American citizens who do not want their jobs stolen and quality of life trashed by foreign lawbreakers. All we have to fight with is People Power and our votes. With every passing day our numbers and our votes are diminished by the invasion of thousands of new voters who have no allegiance to our country. We can win this battle but we need every like-minded citizen to join us and to do so now! Double your efforts and bring a friend!

Beware the Trojan horse a.k.a. The Comprehensive Enforcement & Immigration Reform Act of 2005 (S.1438) introduced by Senators Cornyn and Kyl. It looks good with its tough enforcement provisions on the outside, but inside is another amnesty and a brand new visa category called, ironically enough, “W”. (Read more at: www.eagleforum.org/column/2005/aug05/05-08-03.html and www.vdare.com/mann/050802_amnesty.htm ) FAIR is starting to pull this the horse into our camp. (ww.fairus.org/site/PageServer?pagename=media_releasejuly192005.) We need to “Hold their Feet to the Fire” and have FAIR unequivocally oppose S. 1438. FAIR must fully support the Real Guest Act of 2005 (H. R. 3333) offered by Congressman Tancredo. (http://tancredo.house.gov/pressers/071905Comprehensive%20Section-by-Section%20--%20final.htm).

When Congress amended the Immigration and Nationality Act back in 1965, Senator Ted Kennedy reassured Americans by saying, “The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs.” He was wrong on every count! Need I tell you that the McCain-Kennedy bill (S.1033) is wrong for America? (www.NumbersUSA.com/PDFs/McKennedyTwelveMillionServed.pdf )

Support H.R. 698 to change the Immigration and Nationality Act to deny citizenship at birth to children born in the US to parents who are not citizens or permanent resident aliens. Read more.

CAFTA passed. American sovereignty suffered. Many people don’t realize that free trade agreements allow international tribunals to control our immigration policy. After the people of Arizona passed Proposition 200 to prevent illegal aliens from accessing state benefits, Mexico threatened to have it overturned by the World Court. You probably think Mexico should mind its own business but NAFTA gives Mexico the right to interfere in our immigration policy. CAFTA does the same thing with Central America.

IFIRE website improvements. While you’re on our website, please be sure to check out our new and improved Links Page. You can do everything from watching C-span on line to looking up how your legislator voted on a bill.

Help this website grow. It lists employers suspected of hiring illegals. There are already a few entries from Indiana. Add to the list.

Must read! If you ever feel like the Main Stream Media doesn’t represent your point of view, you must get Dan Sheehy’s new book Fighting Immigration Anarchy. He tells the untold stories of Americans who have been hurt (literally and figuratively) by illegal immigration. He will inspire you with tales of ordinary citizens who fought back and became the leaders of our cause interwoven with interesting quotes, facts and statistics that will make your letters to the editor more interesting and effective. (Note: That’s where I got the Ted Kennedy quote above.) To get the best price, visit www.fightingimmigrationanarchy.com.

The Denver Public Library is converting much of its reading material from English into Spanish. DPL employees have reportedly been told they won’t get raises unless they learn Spanish. Many of the Spanish-language books are comics depicting violence against women and pornographic content. Learn more at www.CAIRCO.org.
